Athena.

Hi. I thought I’d lost you forever. This is nothing less than a miracle. 1924, you say…? Wow. Well. You’re alright and that’s all that matters. How did you find me? I thought you wouldn’t be able to, and I’ve been proven wrong. Yet again. Wrong about you. Wrong about us. I carry your words. How could I not?

We were in love. We were happy. Everything was coming together. Dad approved of us, we had moved in together. My homophobic dad. I was truly happy for the first time in my life. Delinquent’s daughter to Athena’s fiance. The dream. The Athena. We drove people mad with our chemistry. We were the babes to beat.

And there were others for the job, 40 others. And yet, you had to volunteer, didn’t you? In not risking the lives of your subordinates, you’ve permanently damaged mine, Athena. I don’t know anything about where you are, or how. I want to know that we still have a future. YOU and ME, Athena. You and me. What happened to our dreams. Tell me what is happening, and how I can get you back.

Love,

Lou.
