My Spirit, My Lilith,

I was beginning to worry about the silent storm that surrounds your delicate self. Please don’t let your pen stop you; because I know your bequest remains in the loving words your mind beholds. And it’s your voice, that keeps me abreast in the edges of wilderness.

I know the king carries an inner eye like a hawk. They follow one’s shadow through the darkness of secrecy. The unspoken intimacy of fear lurks amidst those pillars holding the castle. Avert your steps when needed, it deflects his vision.

My flight was lured in a cave between two mountains. The reminiscence of the rising sun was lost to me for nearly a fortnight. Gushing winds wanted to swallow me, or maybe the king sent his spies covered by the nightly shrouds.

My sweet Lilith, I have been careful to cover my trail. Collecting my fallen feathers, erasing my footmarks, and veiling the firewood, which is an added convoluted plight to my journey. But let my words mollify your racing heartbeat, just as my arms appeased your frightened body. I am well.

Don’t let the flames of doom tempt you. Let your blistered hands, caress the lea you once strolled upon. The shades of crimson will come to life within your fingers and touch the softness of your cheeks. Jeweled by the sharp stones, cuffed by the pearls, your warmth embellishes the coldness behind those walls. They can never take that from you.

Adam knows it. Pharaoh keeps a watch on him too. Your emerald eyes need to rest, as I let my wings decide the course of our next haven.

Awaiting your words to reach my heart. Eternally and Forever Yours
Lares
